Maison passive

À Bessancourt dans le Val d’Oise, l’agence Karawitz Architecture réalise la toute première maison d’Île de France à recevoir le prestigieux label europééen « Passivhaus ». Fermée au nord pour limiter les déperditions thermiques et ouverte sur le sud pour profiter des apports solaires, cette maison en bois est aussi une réplique sculpturale et abstraite de la maison traditionnelle.

Pushed Slab

Location: Paris, France
Rotterdam architects MVRDV present the design for the Pushed Slab office building at ZAC Gare de Rungis in the 13th arrondissement of Paris. The 19,000 m2 building promises to be one of the first low energy buildings realized in France; with low energy consumption and an energy production of appr. 200,000kWh per year.

Center for the Performing Arts at Institut Le Rosey
Designer: Bernard Tschumi Architects
Location: Le Rosey, France
The winning scheme proposes a low, stainless-steel dome that defines the site and spatially organizes the disparate parts of the program: an 800-seat concert hall, a black box theater, conference rooms, a learning center joined to a library, a teaching center, practice rooms for music and the arts, and several relaxation spaces featuring a restaurant, a cafe, a student lounge, and other amenities.
